Hi I'm Richard

I'm a Mormon. Born and raised in the State of Idaho. Met my wife in college and we spent 30 years in the Kansas City area.

About Me

My wife and I are the parents of four wonderful children and grandparents to eleven incredible grandchildren. We cherish the time we can spend together as a family and always look for opportunities to do such. Professionally I am a CPA and while I spent most of my career in the Mortgage Banking field, I currently own and operate a personal income tax preparation business in Idaho. I love Colorado and the outdoors. I enjoy fishing, biking and when at home I can always be found going through my "honey do" list. I love working with my hands.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints but didn't gain a testimony of the Church until serving as a missionary for the Church in Germany. It was there that I was able to witness the change the gospel can make in people's lives and the happiness and joy it can bring to anyone seeking the answers to life's questions. The gospel of Jesus Christ is everything to me and the knowledge that I will be together with my wife and family after this life brings meaning and joy to what we call our earthly existence.

How I live my faith

I make every effort to live my faith each and every day by the way that I treat others, both in the Church and in the community. Am I perfect, not at all, but I do try and learn from my mistakes and treat others as I would like to be treated. There are very few paid positions in the Church and so we are all called upon to serve in various capacities. I have served in many callings within the Church and within each and every one, I have grown by serving others. It has been a true joy to serve others and I hope to be able to continue to be of service to my Father in Heaven for as long as I can.
