Hi I'm Lona

I was born in Idaho, but call Colorado home.

About Me

I am a wife, mother of 4, Grandmother of 12 and Great Grandmother of 1. I have held many leadership positions in many organizations, which I enjoy, because of the interaction of others. My favorite thing to do, outside of being with my family, is traveling the world and photographing the amazing wonders of God's creations.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lucky enough to be born into the church as a Mormon and gain a testimony of the divinity of Christ as a child. I truly believe there is nothing in the world that can provide you with more knowledge of ones beginning, life's true role and our future existence than the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. If one lives by the concepts of its teachings, true happiness, a love of service and an understanding of the many people and cultures of the world will become a blessing to each individual.

How I live my faith

The church has truly played a very important life-long part of my life. I first became the leader of the girl's organization (2-18) in Texas, when I was about 23 years old and since that time I have been the leader of every age group in the church several times. Through this leadership I have interacted with children, youth and adults in many areas of service, teaching, activities, emotional needs, welfare assistance and organization, which has truly been a blessing in my life. At the present time, I am the leader of the adult women's organization and interact almost daily with at least one of over 100 women in this organization. To be able to do this, I rely heavily on guidance from Heavenly Father and the teachings of the leadership of the church. I am particularly grateful for a living Prophet that consistently receives new revelation, which in turn, helps us continue to learn and to grow.
