Hi I'm Jamie

I grew up in Iowa and still live here. I've lived in France for 4 months. I come from a split family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom with a B.A. in French and a teaching certificate in French & Spanish. I have four children and a fabulously supportive husband. I love to knit, blog, read, and am learning to sew. I've worked with all different ages of children and am finding that I love the little ones the most - at least at this time! My favorite hobbie at the moment is researching my family, my ancestors and those that are still out there. It's been exciting! I love to get together with other Moms and their children, either at my home or out in the town.

Why I am a Mormon

I join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was 14 years old because it was the church that made the most sense. It taught things that I had always known through my life, yet were things that my childhood church did not teach. I have always known that the Godhead consists of 3 seperate beings - God the Father, his Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Ghost. I have stayed an active member of the LDS church because I have discovered that the teachings of this church have brought me closer to my Lord, closer to my Heavenly Father and thus helps me make the best choices for myself and my family.

How I live my faith

I currently am an active student in our Sunday School class and our women's class. I also coordinate our church building's activities with the other congregation that uses it. And, best of all, I am a Den Leader for the Webelos Cub Scouts. It is so awesome to participate in things that I wouldn't normally be a part of!
