Hi I'm Ethan

I grew up in sunny southern California, I go to school in Utah, I live in Long Island, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to be happy and I love to have fun. I love the little things like sitting on a long board out in the ocean watching the sun set. Or biking with shovels down to the creek as a kid to build what we imagined to be massive bmx ramps. Or going swimming while it's raining. Or hiking a mountain just to see the snow. Or sitting in an empty room making funny noises with the boys. Or having all out, knock down, no prisoners, hunker in the bunker beanie baby wars. My life and I are a constant stream of these little events or stories. They haven't all been great and looking back some have been pretty foolish, but they're mine. I am incredibly thankful for my stories, my life, and who I have become.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon simply because I love to be happy. I have been bitter and upset and lost, but with the gospel I always end up being found. This gospel is all about love, peace, and happiness. I have had sacred experiences through challenges, study, and prayer that have pointed me in this direction. I have read the Book of Mormon, really thought it out, prayed about it, and received a witness of it's truthfulness. I have done the same with the Bible and love it just as much. I know that I am a son of my loving Heavenly Father and that I have immeasurable worth to Him. I know that He has provided a way for me to return back to His presence and that is through this gospel. He has given it to us because He loves us and I love Him for that. I love being a Mormon and it makes me happy and brings me more peace and happiness than I have ever experienced.

How I live my faith

I live my faith with confidence. I may be weak and I may have struggles, but I have help from someone who doesn't. I may not be perfect, but my God is. I am thankful for the faith I have and the strength I gather from it. I've learned that you cannot be supported by that which you do not lean upon and I confidently lean on my Savior because without Him I would be lost. This gospel gives me more comfort than anything else in the world because I know I can have confidence that He has my back, will catch me when I fall, and will lead me by the hand.
