Hi I'm Miki

I come from good pioneer stock and am a native of Arizona. I love being a wife, mom and grandma and I love to sing.

About Me

I had a childhood full of wonderful, fun memories which included living on a couple of ranches where my siblings and I learned the joys of hard work and homemade fun. Next to the love for my family, my passion is music - singing especially. I have a great husband, two grown children and the cutest grand baby one ever laid eyes on.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember as a little girl going to church every Sunday with my parents. There was one particular time that stands out in my mind. I was leaving church wearing a pretty dress and skipping along in white bobby socks and white shinny dress shoes. Although it felt good to be dressed nice there was a feeling deep inside my heart that I will always remember. It was of goodness, of true joy and it felt like there was sunshine bursting from within. Over the years I have come to know and understand that true joy and happiness comes from knowing that I am a daughter of a Heavenly Father who loves me and want me to do all that He asks of me. I have an elder brother named Jesus Christ and believe that He died and was resurrected for me. He atoned for my sins and I believe that His church is on the earth today which contains the fullness of His gospel. That church is called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, what many call “The Mormons”.

How I live my faith

For me, living my faith is more than going to church on Sunday. I am most happy when I serve the needs of my family, friends, neighbors and those I attend church with. As I turn around and look at the years behind me I am grateful for the opportunities I have had to serve in many capacities -- whether it has been helping young women learn of their great worth as daughters of a loving Heavenly Father, or teaching young children to sing, or participate with other women by sewing, putting humanitarian kits together, learning how to can foods, or by happily striving to be a good wife, mom and grandmother. I also try to take every opportunity I can to use the musical talents God has given me to lift others and help them feel the love our Father in Heaven has for them. All of the experiences I've enjoyed and with hope for new opportunities to serve builds upon my faith and belief that we all are here under God's eternal plan and that He loves us and wants us to return home to Him one day.
