Hi I'm Brenden

I love playing basketball, I'm video game nerd and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been living in Boise all my life. I graduated from high school in 2010. I'm currently preparing to study at BYU Provo. I'm in love with my beautiful country the United States of America. I love playing basketball and staying active, such as wake surfing, wake boarding, jet skiing, mountain biking, camping/hiking, snowmobiling, swimming, ect. I love my awesome family. I also love to study and help this small brain of mine grow a little bit.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because i grew up surrounded by great examples who share the same faith. Over the period of my life, by keeping His commandments and studying the scriptures and speaking with my Heavenly Father everyday, I have gained my own and personal, strong and unwaivering testimony that my Redeemer lives and that this is His gospel and His church, the same that He Himself taught and established, and I know these things to be true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the commandents given unto me by my Heavenly Father. I study diligently the scriptures and teachings of the prophets of old and of our time. I pray and talk with my Heavenly Father very very frequently. I apply the atoning sacrifice of my Lord and Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ everyday. I follow His example the best I can everyday in everyway that He has showed us. I stay active in the many activities that the church offers me, that help me gain many more awesome friendships and experience many things that i wouldn´t be able to experience otherwise.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

The Atonement of Jesus Christ is our way home. Through faith in Jesus Christ we recieve hope, and this hope comes from the faith we have in His Atonement, because the Atonement is our way home, where our Heavenly Father waits for us, where all the happiness and joy that exists is. We have faith in the Atonement of Jesus Christ by excepting the invitation of perfect love from our Heavenly Father by repenting of our sins, completely. Which means changing ourselves and conforming ourselves to the perfect example that His Son, Jesus Christ showed us. If this never had happened, if He never suffered every type of pain that has existed, that exists, and that will exist, we would have to suffer them. And we wouldn't be able to become clean from our sins that prevent us from returning to the presence of our loving Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
