Hi I'm Hailey

I love cooking, organizing, spending time with my husband, and continually finding ways to learn and become a better person!

About Me

I recently graduated with my Bachelor's Degree in Marriage and Family Studies. It was an excellent degree that helped open up my eyes even more to the importance of families and standing up for what we believe. I have been married for almost 2 years to a wonderful husband! I couldn't be happier to have such a wonderful husband who supports me in all that I do and all I hope to achieve. In my free time, I love learning new things and expanding my mind! My newest passion is learning about the effects that various media content can have on us and the importance of making careful decisions on what we watch. I am far from perfect and make mistakes daily, but I try daily to be a little better and to have a positive attitude.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints because I have read the scriptures and prayed to know if it's true, and I know it is! I know without a doubt that this is the Lord's Church! I grew up in the Church and throughout my whole life, I have felt peace and comfort through the Holy Ghost as I attend church and follow the Gospel. I know the doctrine that is taught is true. I know my Heavenly Father sent each of us to this earth but that he hasn't left us alone. He has provided us with the tools (scriptures, prayer, prophets, etc.) necessary for us to return to leave with him one day. The Savior came to this earth and died for each of us so we could return to live with him and our Father in Heaven, if we would only follow him and repent. I know that families can live together forever as we attend the temple and receive sacred ordinances and as we work to strengthen our family relationships each day. I know that the Lord loves me and has a plan for me. I know that his whole purpose is for all of us to be happy. I have experienced many trials in my life, just like everyone, that seem unbearable at times. I recently had a miscarriage which was very difficult. Even in this moment of heartache, I was able to feel peace and comfort because of the doctrines taught in the Church. No matter what we experience in this life, if we are faithful and follow the Savior, all our wrongs will be made right in the next life.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a daily commitment. It encompasses everything that I do and helps me choose what to focus on each day. I live my faith each day through daily prayers, daily scripture study, finding ways to help others, and reading from the words of modern day prophets, just to name a few. There are also little things that I do throughout my day that help me draw closer to the Savior including: being modest in what I wear, limiting the amount of TV I watch and the type of movies I watch, memorizing scriptures and quotes, sharing gospel messages with friends and family, and following the standards in the For Strength of Youth pamphlet (pamphlet that describes standards of the gospel in various categories for the youth, but applicable to all ages). I believe that what we choose to do with our time reflects what our priorities are. Though I strive to become more like the Savior each day, I know I make mistakes. I am grateful that the Savior is able to help give me strength to do better when I make mistakes and to be given ideas on how I can improve. Though I make mistakes daily, as I stay consistent with praying, reading, etc., I am able to look back and see many blessings that the Lord has blessed me with. As I consistently strive to follow the Savior, my faith is increased and my desire to be like him is strengthened.
