Hi I'm Michelle

I am a wife, mother, sister, friend and a mormon.

About Me

I am a stay at home mom of four children. I spend most of my time running after, cleaning up after, feeding, and taking care of my family. When I have free time I love to spend time with my husband, read, craft, sew or anything with a friend.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but as a teenager I fell away from the church. After five years of being away from the church I had my first child and felt that my daughter should be raised knowing the gospel. When I started going to church again I didn't think I needed church I did it for my daughter. Soon I started to get to know the people in my ward and felt thier love for me. When I would go into Relief Society each week someone would always come sit by me and ask how I was. I kept thinking that every lesson was meant just of me and I later ealized it was because I was unhappy with so many of my choices. Soon I noticed that I was the one that wanted to be there. I was learning so much and I felt the spirit of the Lord when I was in those walls. Over the next several years my life changed. I found myself wanting to serve and wanting to make good choices and wanting to be a better person. Eventually I made a goal to go through the temple. I couldn't explain it at the time but I knew there was something there for me. I knew that was Heavenly Fathers plan for me. As I got ready to go to the temple there was a change in my home. My husband who had always been supportive but was not active started to change his life as well. My husband became active in the church and one year later we were all sealed in the temple. I am always amazed when I look back and see that at times when I was not doing the things I knew to be right Heavenly Father still guided me to the place where I would make the right choices.

How I live my faith

I am currently working in the scouts , as a visiting teacher and on our ward newsletter. When I was put in scouts I was suprised because I have only very small boys but I have learned so much about scouts and have really grown to love the boys. I have learned patience and how to love even the harder kids. As a visiting teacher I learn so much from the women I teach! We talk about how to raise our kids, how to find time to work on our callings and how to strengthen our testimonies. It seems that every month the things we end up talking about are the things I most need help or advice on. I am just starting out on the newsletter but I feel like every calling forces me to figure things out and put myself out there and I end up growing so much as a person when I do.

In whom should we have faith?

Michelle
We should have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and in our Father in Heaven. I know lots of people believe we worship Joseph Smith instead of Jesus Christ. Joseph was a beloved prophet. He was the man chosen to bring the gospel back to the earth and a wonderful leader. He did so much for all of us but Jesus Christ is our Savior. He suffered and allowed himself to be killed for us to atone for the sins of all of us. Without Him we would would not be able to have eternal life, we would not have the opportunity to repent for our sins or be forgiven. Show more Show less
