Hi I'm Daniel

I love to surf, windsurf, paddleboard, wakeboard, scuba dive, and longboard. I am currently serving a mission, and im a Mormon!

About Me

I am from the east coast of Florida and I grew up around the ocean. To me, the ocean is one of Heavenly Fathers greatest creations. It is so incredible and complex and there is so much of it that has never been explored. I love surfing, windsurfing, paddleboarding, wakeboard, fishing, scuba diving, and everything else to do with the ocean. Before my mission went to a year of college out west where I learned to love the mountains as well and things like snowboarding, biking, and longboarding. I am currently serving a mission in the desert of Arizona and I love it! There is nothing more rewarding then spending every day, from sun up to sun down, in the service of the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church but that isnt necesarily why Im a Mormon. Im a Mormon becuase I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who has a plan for me. I know that the Book of Mormon is true becuase I have read it and pondered about it and prayed to know if it is true, and I have received my answer. That knowledge is what drivse me to be a better person every day and to serve others around me.

How I live my faith

Right now I live my faith through full time service as a missionary in the Arizona Tucson Mission. I love it because I get to help people come closer to Heavenly Father every day and teach them how to apply the atonement of Jesus Christ in their lives so they can be eternal families. It is a great blessing to be a part of The Lord's work everyday and to see the miracle of the atonement in my life, as well as in the lives of the people around me.

To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

I think there are many reasons why the church has grown so much. The first reason is simply because its true and anyone who reads the Book of Mormon, and prays to know if its true will come to know that it is true. If that book is true then everything else is too. The second reason is that all those people who have come to know that it is true, do their best to show their love for the savior in the way that they conduct their lives. That isnt common for people to do these days and people recognize it and want to know more about it. Show more Show less

What is faith?

In the Book of Mormon it tells us that faith is to "hope for things which are not seen, which are true." It is also a spiritual gift that we must pray to receive. For me, it is easiest to understand what faith is when I compare it to the wind. We all know that wind is a real thing although it is not something we can directly see. We can, however, see the effect that it has on trees as it passes through them causing the branches to sway. That is a lot like the effect that we see in the lives of those who have faith. We can physically see the effect that it has on those people. It is apparent in the way that they live their lives. It is apparent in how happy they are and how they treat other people. And it is apparent in the way that they love their families. We can also see the effect of the wind on a sailboat. The wind is what powers a sailboat and allows the sailor to steer the vessel to the desired destination. Faith does likewise. It impowers people to be the best that they can, so that one day they can reach their desired destination. As we turn towards the wind, we can also feel its physical influence as it blows on our face. It is the same thing with faith. As we turn towards the Lord and ask him for help and desire to know if he is there, he lets us feel his presence by the Holy Spirit. I have faith in Jesus Christ. I know that he lives because I have felt him and seen him influence my life. I invite you to do the same and find out for yourself. Show more Show less
