Hi I'm Melissa

I'm a proud, converted Mormon.

About Me

I am a full time nursing student, wife and mother of three. I have two teenagers and one in elementary school and act as a taxi most days.

Why I am a Mormon

I converted in 2004 after realizing that all the years of meeting and befriending mostly LDS people, somebody was telling me something. Having grown up with a pretty strict Catholic father, I never felt connected to the Catholic church and never understood their practices or beliefs. As an adult, now able to understand better and make my own decisions about life, I sought after missionary teachings in my home, and chose to be baptized just one month later. I can honestly say that my life has become far better since joining the church. I have received many blessings, so much guidance and help from Heavenly Father and from my brothers and sisters. I am truly and deeply grateful for being able to belong to such a wonderful and loving church today.

How I live my faith

Over the last few years I have been called to teach the young children in Sunday School and as an activity committe chair. I currently serve as the Compassionate Services Leader and as the Ward Librarian. In my calling as compassionate services leader, I coordinate meals and help to some of the families in need when having babies or sick or otherwise unable to take care of themselves. I also facilitate help for those who may be down on their luck health-wise or financially. I love my calling!
