Hi I'm Sarah

I am a mother, a student, and a teacher. I like to run, love to read, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love my children (even if they are a ton of work). Being a mother is by far the most rewarding and exhausting role I've ever had. My husband and I are a team and he supports me in all that I do, for which I am grateful. In between my roles of mother and wife I try to fit in student and teacher. I enjoy running and participate in occasional competitive short distance races. I am not fast but I am consistent, I always start back up again. Reading is my favorite pastime. I can easily slip under the spell of a new book and forget the world around, which is why I find it hard to find the time for this hobby. Good friends have always been important to me, I need the companionship of like-minded women to buoy me up and provide relief. Life is often difficult but it is good.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, was baptized when I was eight, and loved to go to primary. I am a Mormon because being so makes me happy and gives my life purpose. I am a daughter of God. I want my children to grow in humility, strength, and wisdom so that they may be active, responsible members of their church and home communities. I want to be with my family forever and living the gospel provides me with the tools and knowledge to do so.

How I live my faith

Though I've been an active member of the church throughout my life, I have times when I do better than others at following the everyday commandments such as reading scriptures and praying. It's like my running, sometimes I do better and am more consistent but I always go back. Striving to live the gospel standards brings me joy and confidence in my eternal perspective. My testimony is continually strengthened, particularly through regular scripture study and prayer. I am lucky enough to live in a time with prophets of Lord. I sustain the prophet of this church, and I know that he is called by God to provide care and council for the church. I know that I have a Father in Heaven that loves me, ME, always and forever. This knowledge gives me strength to rely on His will and work toward eternity.
