Hi I'm Ariel Halton

I'm a full time student, I enjoy dancing, I love to travel, Ive been called to serve in Finland, Helsinki and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Ariel and I grew up in a very small town! I have 3 sisters and 2 brothers, but I was raised an only child! I am currently a full time student with a major in Special Education! I love to teach and to serve. I enjoy swimming and dancing. Though I was born into the church, I have a conversion story of my own!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church. When I was 8 years old, on April 27, my grandpa Jesse baptized me! My family. wasn't attending church so it was hard at 8 years old to always be there though I wanted to. When I was 12 I decided I wouldn't ever miss a day of church. I would walk or find a ride every sunday and I did! The Young Womens program in my ward was wonderful. They were always helpful and supportive! I continued going to church weekly until the end of high school. When I moved from home it was much harder. I didn't have someone behind me offering to pick me or to sit by me at church. So I missed a week, then another. I stopped reading my scriptures and eventually stopped praying. Everyone was questioning who they were! I too began to question who I was. I would cry myself to sleep wondering who I was, and why I was where I was. I had never been so sad or depressed as that time when I had simply forgotten. In May of 2010 I decided to go on a trip to the Dominican Republic. I wanted to get away and to serve. The day after I book my ticket I met 2 INCREDIBLE missionaries. I noticed thier badges said Hermana. I told them about the D.R. and said they could teach me spanish. The one said she would love to have me come teach with them and learn that way! I thought what did I get myself into! Well, it took a while but eventually I went with them.. and I felt something I hadn't felt in a long time! I learned spanish, I made friends, and most importantly I remembered who I was! Where I came from! And why I was here! I felt my Heavenly Fathers love and knew that even though I had let go his hand was still stretched forward! I know with all my heart Heavenly Father put them in my life to help me remember. He knows me personally and knew I needed them. I'm so grateful for my Father in Heaven and for Jesus Christ, for His great atoning sacrafice! I know this is the true church! It is Christ church restored to this earth!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by attending church weekly. I love to serve and accept any assignment I am given from the leaders. I make sure to always read and to pray because it is through those things I can come to know my Heavenly Father and my Savior more fully! I strive to follow the example of Jesus Christ. To serve and to love.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

Ariel Halton
Life on earth isn't always easy. Sometimes we get lost, confused, scared and unsure. The Holy Ghost is Heavenly Fathers most precious gift we are offered on this earth! The Holy Ghost is able to bless us in many ways. He is able to protect us, to warn us of danger, to help us know right from wrong and to comfort us. We are able to feel our Heavenly Fathers love through the Holy Ghost. He will testify to us the truth of all things!! We feel the Holy Ghost when we have feelings of love, peace and comfort! Almost everyone has felt the Holy Ghost in their lives at some point. However, we are given the gift of the Holy Ghost after we are baptised and confirmed a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. After you are confirmed it is important to be obedient to God's commandments. It is through obedience we are able to have the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost in our lives! Show more Show less
