Hi I'm Arlene

I am a fifth generation Mormon. I was born in and grew up in Arizona.

About Me

I am 70 years old. My husband & I have been married for 45 years. Between the two of us, we have four children, eight grand-children and three great grand-children. I love to spend time with those that live close to us. I love to sew and have made clothing for my family. I also have made many pieced Christmas Tree skirts and other items used in the home. I have lived in Colorado for the past 43 years; the last 22 in the mountains. I enjoy feeding the animals and birds. Their antics make me smile and sometimes make me laugh. I love to read and started while I was still in grade school. During the summer I would check as many books out of the library as was allowable at a time. I like mysteries and my favorite writer of all time is Agatha Christie. The detective in her books, Hercule Poirot, is my favorite character.

Why I am a Mormon

As stated earlier, I am a fifth generation Latter Day Saint. I know that this is the true church of Jesus Christ and that its teachings are true. It was restored to the earth through the prophet Joseph Smith. I was baptized when I was eight years old. I have been active in my faith for most of my life. However, there was a time that I took a wong turn. But I am back stronger than ever.

How I live my faith

When I was in my early teens, I belonged to the youth organization for young women. I now belong to the organization for (older) women. I go to church every Sunday morning for a block of three hours. I also study the Sunday School lesson for each Sunday
