Hi I'm McKayli

From Hawaii to England, serving the Lord wherever I go.

About Me

A little about myself: I am an artist and musician. Life's a dance, reading is really fun, and adventuring, exploring, and traveling take up most of my time. I returned from BYU-Hawaii where I received my Associates of Arts around 2 years ago. I then adventured to England serving God as a voluntary missionary for 18 months. Upon my arrival home, I have started another adventure, Arizona State University! I am happy because I know truth. I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I know we are created by God and as such we are given the gift of the light of Christ which helps us discern good from evil. Ever since I was little I have felt that The Gospel of Jesus Christ taught in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (or Mormon's) has and always will be good and I know when I follow good I am happy (Moroni 7:12-13). I have read the Book of Mormon and have felt the goodness that comes from that book. It testifies of Jesus Christ and his teachings. As I read and follow the teachings of Christ in the Bible and the Book of Mormon I know I am doing good and I am happy! The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true and the truth of the gospel is good and that knowledge makes me eternally happy.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is simple. I actively make decisions in my life every day that will make me happy. I choose to say my prayers continuously, read the scriptures daily, and attend all my church meetings. How can these simple actions make me happy? I am strengthening my relationship with Heavenly Father every time I pray. I need to know that there is someone there who knows me better than I know myself and loves me for who I am and what I can become. I need someone there looking after me and I know that is God, our Eternal Father. I know that as I converse with the Lord he answers me, especially through the scriptures. Someone once told me, "if you want to talk to God, pray, if you want God to talk to you, read your scriptures." There is simple truths taught in the scriptures that truly help me get through each day. I know God gave us the scriptures because they can apply and help us in our lives now. I also go to church because I know that what I am praying for and reading about in the scriptures can be strengthened and testified of again at church which makes it all the more true. Truth can set us free and freedom is happiness to me.

How can we increase our faith in Jesus Christ?

McKayli
The only way you can increase anything positive is through your actions. By doing something about it. Simply put, you can increase faith in Jesus Christ through your desire to believe and exercising on that belief by praying (asking God who Jesus Christ is) and reading God's words (especially the Book of Mormon-which is another testament of Jesus Christ). Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

McKayli
First and formost the name of our church is the church of JESUS CHRIST of latter day saints, so it is important to know that Jesus Christ is the head of our church and is the one that directs the work in calling and appointing our living prophet. As members of this church we sustain the prophet that God has called (John 15:16). Sustain means to support. Show more Show less
