Hi I'm Stacey

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I'm the mother of five children. I have a wonderful life!

About Me

I enjoy reading, cooking, spending time outdoors, gardening, hiking, camping, volunteering, and spending time with my family. I have a degree in Anthropology with a concentration in Archaeology. I enjoy learning about different cultures throughout the world and throughout time. My five children keep me busy with day to day life as well as supporting their various activities which include marching band, choir, children's theater, boy scouts, cub scouts, sports, robotics, academics, volunteering, and more. I have been married for seventeen years to my wonderful talented husband who keeps life and marriage fun and interesting! He volunteers with the boy scouts, is an artist, can fix just about anything that is fixable, cooks, is a terrific dad, isn't afraid of challenges, keeps me grounded, is willing to put up with my crazy ideas, offers me wise counsel, and helps me keep my sanity! Life is good. I've been truly blessed!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormon). But, there comes a time for everyone when you have to really decide for yourself if what you're doing is the right thing. I took the time to study, pray, listen, and hope to know if this church is true. It is! The peace I feel as I live the standards, and commandments of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is indescribable. I feel the love of our Father in Heaven as He guides and directs my life. I am in awe of our Savior Jesus Christ, and the person that He is. As I study His life, mission, and teachings, I can't help but want to follow Him, and serve Him in any way that I can. I am grateful for a living prophet on the earth, President Thomas S. Monson who cares for us dearly. I am grateful to know that we aren't left alone to fend for ourselves in this chaotic world. We have a living prophet who is the mouthpiece of our Lord Jesus Christ, and who gives direction specific to the modern world. Revelation is not dead! We need it today just as much or even more than any other time in the world's history. I am grateful that is a gift from a loving Father in Heaven, and our Savior.

How I live my faith

Every day through prayer I ask for help in accomplishing what I need to do, and I ask for strength to do it! Our Heavenly Father answers prayers. I've experienced this truth as a constant in my life. I rely on it! In the church, I have the privelege of serving in the Stake Leadership over the Primary Children's organization in our area. My responsibilities include offering training and support to the women and men who directly teach and lead children 18 months through 12 years. I love this work! One of my specific responsibilities is to be a unit commissioner in the Boy Scout Program. This means I train and support the leaders of the Cub Scout Packs which are chartered by the ward units in our church in our area. It's challenging work, but also satisfying, and I enjoy getting to know and work with the wonderful volunteers in the scouting program. I also try to live my faith by the way I live, and how I teach my children to live. I hope that we can be good people who help and serve others, and live in a way that would be acceptable to our Savior Jesus Christ. He has done so much for us. It seems like anything we do for Him, is so small in comparison.
