Hi I'm Brad

I'm a Canadian Californian... and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

When I work... I work. When I play... I like to play golf!

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a Mormon by birth, but it wasn't until I was a teenager that I realized the truth of this Church. I have always been somewhat skeptical by nature... which is pretty much the opposite of faith. However, until I finally learned how to consciously put my skepticism on the shelf and replace it with real faith, my spiritual life felt phony. I am so grateful for the Book of Mormon, as it has truly filled my heart with the seeds of faith that my spirit needed. With prayer and pondering about the teachings from the scriptures, these seeds have continued to grow where I can now say that I know God truly lives. He answers our prayers. He knows us individually, and loves us unconditionally. He wants us to grow spiritually, and He wants us to return back to Him after this life. I am so grateful that the Lord's church and teachings have been fully restored back to the way they were when Jesus lived on the earth. It is truly comforting knowing that we have a living prophet on the earth today who receives revelation from God, and helps provide direction in our turbulent lives. I am especially grateful that the Lord has blessed me with His Spirit to guide, comfort, direct, and help me become the person He wants me to be.

How I live my faith

I love meeting people, and getting to know them. I have found that as I actively get involved with helping others and being of service, my life feels so much fuller. There are times when someone has done something for me (usually something small) that have been helpful to me in my life, yet I often look back and realize that what people have done for me were actually answers to my prayers. I now realize that God often uses us to be His hands in helping people. Therefore, I strive to be service oriented by giving of my time and talents to the service of others. I find that when I help others that it makes them happy and feel blessed. However, I usually feel like I'm the one who was blessed.
