Hi I'm Curran

I'm a Mormon. Originally from Utah, I've lived in California and Colorado. I'm married and have three children.

About Me

As I previously stated, I've been a Mormon all of my life. While I am a Mormon, I strive to learn as much about every other religion that I can. The reason is because there is truth all around us, and I strive to learn all the truths that I can. I began this endeavor when I was 19 and volunteered to share my beliefs and teachings of the LDS Church in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I met thousands of individuals with varying beliefs. My search for truth has continued since and has expanded to sharing my desires with my wife and two children. They are my entire world and I work hard to ensure they have the necessities of life and some comforts too. To do this, I have studied to earn a better living. While I was studying, some sacrifices were necessary. There were times when I wanted to have fun, but school and family life always came first for me. Besides being with my family, I like to watch soccer, American football (college), and basketball. I also like to spend time with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

In short, I'm a Mormon because it's true. I have not found any other organization, religious or secular, that works to enhance the lives of its members to the degree the Mormon church does. I can't say that being Mormon is easy, but it is definitely worth it. One of the reasons why it is worth it is for the satisfaction of being a positive influence in society. This is especially important in today's society where confusion is rampant. One could say that with all that goes on in the world that God doesn't exist. To them I say this, I know that God exists and that he loves me. As a child, I suffered from depression. It go so bad that I seriously considered ending my life. One afternoon, after an especially rough day, I prayed to God to help me get through the pain and sadness. I got a response from God that afternoon, something that can't be reproduce by anything from this world. This is why I say that God exists and he loves me. And, if he loves me, he must love you.

How I live my faith

I strive to be the best person I can be. While I do make mistakes and occasionally do the wrong things, I know that I'm learning to be better. I have not found any other organization, religious or secular, that provides the satisfaction and desires than the Mormon church. I work to instill these teachings about love, kindness, and faith to my children. We live in a world where without faith, hope will be lost. Living my faith has brought me hope of a better world. A world where love abounds and selflessness is apparent. I know that this doesn't seem to be the case, but I know it can be.

What is faith?

Faith is the believe that an action or desire can be achieved. In the Mormon Church, faith is which empowers us to achieve what would otherwise be impossible and/or improbable. Show more Show less
