Hi I'm Nicole

I am a going to school to become a special education teacher. I love sports. I love my family. I am a Mormon!

About Me

Hello! My name is Nicole but everyone calls me Colee. I love playing sports! I was a gymnast for seven years and I played volleyball in high school. I am going to school right now to become a special education teacher. I have wanted to become a special education teacher since high school. I was sealed a year ago to the most amazing man. I was blessed with a great family who has supported me through everything: school, trials, achievements. Family is everything to me!

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I am a Mormon is because I do not know where I would be in my life without this gospel. I was born into the church; however, when I was eleven, I began to doubt whether or not it was true. I had to find out for myself if it was true or not. This took time and much prayer. My grandmother passed away when I was thirteen. I couldn't let myself believe that a loving Father in Heaven would have taken a wonderful woman away from me. My heart was so hardened against Heavenly Father. Eight months later, I had a spiritual experience that would change my mind forever. At girls camp, we did this thing called a faith walk. They blind folded us and had us hold onto a rope. We needed to hold onto the rope until someone untied the blind fold. We had leaders saying, "Let go of the rope and follow me" and others saying, "Hold on! You're doing great!" At the end, our Stake President, who was dressed in white, untied our blind fold and said, "Welcome home." Behind him, there was our young womens presidency who had their temple dresses on. I was overcome by the Spirit that I asked my Heavenly Father, "Is she alright? Is she happy?" and I felt the Spirit in my heart tell me that she was happy and alright. I know from them on that this church was true. Families can be together forever! I know that my Heavenly Father knows me and loves me. I know that my Savior gave us the greatest gift; He gave us a way to return back to our Father in Heaven. His infinite atonement has given me an opportunity to repent of my sins and to return back to Heavenly Father. I know that Joseph Smith restored the true gospel of Jesus Christ at the age of 14 in the Sacred Grove. I know Joseph Smith translated The Book of Mormon by the power of God. The Book of Mormon is true because I have done as Moroni asks; I prayed about it. The Holy Ghost has testified to me of the truthfulness of all of these things. I know that as we continually put of faith in Jesus Christ, all things are possible.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I teach the sixteen to eighteen year old young women. I help them understand different topics to help grow their testimony in that topic. By doing this, I grow a greater testimony in what I am teaching. I live my faith outside the ward by smiling at everyone I meet, by being kind to everyone, trying to be Christ-like in all my dealings.
