Hi I'm Rachel

I'm a missionary. I'm a daughter, sister and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love art, music, dance, family, people, fashion, creativity, food, napping, laughing, jumping, reading, movies, nature, swimming, friends, and most importantly the Gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I belong to this church because it makes me happy. The true and living gospel of Jesus Christ brings so much joy to my life. I feel freedom when I keep the commandments, comfort and guidance from the restored priesthood power and Holy Spirit. I'm happy that Heavenly Father loves us so much that He would send a living prophet to guide us in the last days. I know my Savior Jesus Christ suffered, died, and was resurrected for me so I can return to live with my Father in heaven again. Repentance is such a beautiful thing! Sacred covenants with God and the gift of the Holy Ghost help me become a better person everyday and I am so grateful for that. I hope to one day live with my Heavenly Father again and eventually become like Him. I can live forever with my family and know what will happen to me after my life on earth. If I have any lacking knowledge, I know I can pray for an answer. God always answers prayers asked in faith, with real desire and intent to know the answer. He promises us that. This church has Jesus Christ at the head of it. I know it more than I know anything else.

How I live my faith

I love God. I try to do my best to follow the example of His Son Jesus Christ. I am currently serving as a full-time missionary to serve in the Peru Chiclayo mission.

Who was Joseph Smith?

Rachel
Joseph Smith Jr. was the first prophet of the restored Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. As a young boy, Joseph wondered which of the many religious sects he should join. He came across a scripture in James which spoke to him with much strength, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God" and he decided he would do exactly that--ask God which of the churches he should join. After kneeling in sincere prayer in a grove of trees outside his house, Joseph saw God the Father and His son Jesus Christ in his First Vision. He was counseled not to join any of the churches, that he would take part in restoring Christs full and true gospel upon the earth once again. He restored the priesthood keys needed to lead the church and bring modern revelation from God back to His people. With this, all of Heavenly Fathers children on the earth can have the full truth and guidance in these last days before Jesus Christ comes again. Show more Show less
