Hi I'm Lindsey B

I'm an artist, a wife, a food lover and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love old things. I love thrift shopping. I love painting. I love reading. I love learning and I love my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

When my parents announced that our family would be moving the summer before my senior year of high school, I wasn't very happy. I was comfortable where I was, perfectly comfortable with my friends, the activities I was involved in, I would have liked to say no thanks. However, we left, and I had to cope. For the first 5 months I was miserable. I wasn't making friends, I wasn't doing anything, except painting. But after 5 months I realized I had made a friend, or at least remembered a friend I may have forgotten a bit, Jesus Christ. Once my teenage self realized that, things got better. Not only had I come to know Christ, but I had learned more about myself. Looking back now I'm grateful that Heavenly Father likes us to be a little uncomfortable, because in those times, we are growing. Growing to become more like him. I'm the type of person that likes things to be just right, perfect even. But in a world where no one is perfect, that's hard to do. One thing that really comforts me, is that I can become perfect. I may not be right now, and I won't be for awhile, but some day if I do what the Lord asks, I can be just like him, perfect. I know that Heavenly Father really does know each one of us, by name. He knows what I look like, and he knows what I need. All he requires is that I listen to him, and obey his simple commandments. I know that He lives. He will help us, if we only let Him in.

How I live my faith

My husband and I taught 7 year olds during church each week. We loved it! It was so fun to see young children learning the gospel. Some weeks we got to see them come to really understand certain principles. It is such a blessing to be able to have a part in the teaching experience.
