Hi I'm Susan

I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have 5 chidren and my family is my life. I work part-time at my husband's electrical business where I run the office. I love being involved with my children's school activities and their extra-curricular activities. They keep me busy, but I couldn't imagine doing anything else with my life. After all, that's what this life is all about....being with and loving your family:)

Why I am a Mormon

I lost my mother to cancer when I was nine years of age. My father was not part of our life, so my 2 sisters and I went to live with my mother's sister and her husband. Life was less than enjoyable and we endured many things that children should never have to be faced with. But through it all I tried to have a positive outlook, always knowing that everything would be ok. That has always kind of been my motto, that everything will be ok. I have always known that this life was the time for preparing for our next life, even in my early years. I knew that there was life after death and that I woud be able to see my mother again. I married my husband not too long after high school. He was a member of the church, but he was not active. Growing up we went occasionally to a baptist church, but I had never really heard of the LDS church. After my husband and I started having children, and with a remarkable home teacher, he had the urge to return to church and I had the desire to find out more about it. After talking with my mother in law & father in law, who were very active, about the church I learned a lot. After sometime, I started taking the missionary discussions and then decided to be baptized. It was the best decision I have ever made. I have lived my life with and without the gospel, and I couldn't imagine ever living without it again. The restored gospel has blessed my family and I in so many ways. Jesus Christ stands at the head of our church. I have a solid testimony of Him as our Lord and Savior. I know that he knows each one of us personally and he loves all of us. He loved us all so much that he gave His life so that we would be able to return to live with Him and our Heavenly Father again. What a great blessing that is for each of us.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving in the Young Women's organization. I have the oppurtunity to attend meetings with them, to teach them lessons, go to youth dances with them, and to attend camp with them. The young women are so much fun. I have four daughters of my own and it's great to be involved with the young women of the church, as I try to be a good example to them and to help them understand that they are truly daughters of our Heavenly Father. Each one of us have a divine inheritance and if we can stay true and faithful in following our Heavenly Father's commandments, we will be blessed beyond our wildest imaginations. I am grateful I have the oppurtunity to work with the young women, sometimes I think they teach me more than I can ever teach them.
