Hi I'm Sarah

I'm an Irish Dancer, a longboarder, childcare worker. I love cooking, baking, singing in the shower and being silly. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I live in a cute little apartment with my best friend and our two kittens. I spend most of my time working with children, babies specifically. They are fun and always remind me about pure love and the simplicity of happiness. Right now my plan is to go to school for massage therapy so I can help people cope with pain and their stress. When I am not doing those things or spending time with the people I love, I am usually dancing. I enjoy all types of dance but Irish dancing is my passion, I have been doing it for seven years. Recently I have been learning how to longboard, and practicing becoming a be cook and baker. I love the rain, being adventerous, country music, disney movies, road trips and reading. I'm silly, sometimes a mess and not entirely sure who I am yet, but I have the best friends and family anyone could ever ask for.

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many reasons why I am a Mormon, too many to count. The first thing that comes to mind is that I know the Church is true. Not only does it make sense and is easy to understand but the Spirit is constantly testifying to me that I made the right choice being baptized. That decision singlehandedly changed my life for the better, and is the biggest and best choice I have ever made. After months of studying, praying fasting and meeting with the missionairies I discovered this plain and precious truth and have not doubted it since. It's the most important part of who I am now. It has taught me about my eternal potential and how much love Heavenly Father has for me. I put my faith in trust in Him and His church, in return I get countless blessings, am nutured and uplifted. The Church has strengthened my sense of self-worth and self-confidence. I know that I specifically am a vital part of His plan. Because of this I have an eternal perspective on life, I know more of who I am, where I came from, what my purpose here on earth is and where I am going after. It helps me prioritize my life, to put the gospel and my family first and to know everything else will fall into place in the Lord's time. Basically it has helped me through all of lifes trials and has given me eternal joy. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy, I believe in everything that the Church stands for, I know it's true, I can see the difference it makes in my life and the lives of the people around me, and it is who I am. I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

One of my favourite things about my faith is that I have the opportunity to live it every day. Each morning my roommate and I get up early before work and study scriptures and pray together. During the day I try to live as my Heavenly Father would want me to, someone worthy to have taken Christ's name upon them. Following the commandments are important to me, as well as trying to be more honest, patient, and faithful with a positive outlook. I'm far from perfect but I strive to be a better person. Because I know that I am a literal daughter of God and that my body is a temple I try to treat it with the respect that it deserves; being physically active, dressing modestly, eating right and staying away from addictive substances. Within my Church I serve in the food committee. A couple of us make and serve food for special activities, which is a good way to meet new people. Also, a friend and I go to visit some girls to see how they are doing anything, what they need and to share a spiritual message with them. I love doing this, it is such an amazing blessing in my life and it makes me happy. I always learn something from those visits.
