Hi I'm Stephanie

I'm married, have 3 kids, and I am a college student working on my undergrad. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mom to 3 kids. 2 girls, 6 and 3 years, and a baby boy. That's my most important job; being a mom. I am also a wife and a student. I love to read and to write, so I am studying English. My favorite types of books are mystery novels. I have lived in 3 different states, Oregon, Nevada and Colorado. My husband was in the Air Force, that's how we came to Colorado. I love the out doors! Colorado is perfect for outdoor activity. Hiking, swimming, and camping are my favorite out door activities. I also love to cook. I enjoy getting friends and family over to eat good food, laugh, talk and just hang out.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up a member. My mom's family have been members since the beginning. My Dad's family were converts when he was a baby. I got baptized at 8, the age you are accountable and eligible to join the church, because if felt right. I knew Jesus Christ was my savior and I loved to go to church. It just clicked. It wasn't until I was 15 that I really knew that the Book of Mormon was true. I prayed one night while on a camping trip, after praying every night for months, and I just knew. I felt this peace that came over me and I just knew.

How I live my faith

I try to pray with my kids every morning and night. We also read the scriptures with our kids every night before bed. They get to take turns picking out the story, and before we read it we read about a chapter from either the Bible or the book of Mormon. Right now we are half way through the New Testament. We also have Family Home Evening every Monday night. We either pick a topic, like the Sacrament or preparing to go to the temple, to talk about or we do a fun activity like go out for ice cream or to a park. I also work with the kids in my church. I help prepare Sunday lessons to teach them more about our Savior and their purpose on this Earth. I love watching the littlest kids, they are 3 years old, to the oldest, which are 11, learn songs about Jesus, the Book of Mormon, and how they can live with God again. I love watching there eyes light up as their love for the gospel swells within them.
