Hi I'm Joe

I grew up in Southern California. I am married with 5 kids. I am an active duty soldier in the Army and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a soldier in the Army. I work on Blackhawk helicopters and perform flight duties as a crewchief. I volunteer in my community as a Scoutmaster and love to camp, hike and spend time outdoors. I love to ride motorcycles both on road and off road. I enjoy running and other fitness related exercise. I have many hobbies including welding, working on older cars and trucks, and computer games. I love being a father and a husband.

Why I am a Mormon

My family has deep roots in the Mormon church. My ancestors were pioneers that left their countries of birth and emigrated to the United States for the religious freedom that was available here and was not allowed in their native countries at that time. My ancestors loaded all of their belongings into a hand cart and pushed it across the country following the leaders of this church. The testimony of my ancestors is a great example and strength to me and bolsters my own testimony that I have received of the truthfulness of this church and the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I know that I am blessed to have a wonderful family and great friends. The teachings of this church have helped my make wise decisions that lead me to joy and happiness with my family and relatives. I also know that I have been blessed by living the Word of Wisdom and for my efforts to maintain a healthy body. As a soldier, physical strength and stamina are important and living the teachings of my church have assisted me in maintaining a high level of fitness and health. Wise and conservative decisions have helped me avoid many negative consequences that can arise from addiction or overly wild living.
