Hi I'm Sarith

I like fixing things. I'm a father and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm trying my best to adjust to the English language. Most of my family has been baptized. I am from Cambodia, the province of Phnom Penh. My hobbies are reading, fixing things, volunteering, and working hard. I've been in the U.S. since 1985.

Why I am a Mormon

I was living in California when a home teacher came by my house and offered to teach me and my wife about the gospel. Up until that time, I had been Muslim. When he told me about the Mormon ways and beliefs, I began to realize that the beliefs weren big different after all of "HE is the SAVIOR". Whenever he visited, I could always feel the pure and pleasant presence of the Holy Ghost as it followed him into my home. Following his Commandments, I was baptized on Saturday 23, September and the confirmation date was on Sunday 24, September1995.

How I live my faith

I believe in the Lord and I know that he wants us to come and be with him again when we move on from this life. I am constantly reading my scriptures, both by myself and with my family.

Are Mormons Christians?

Yes, we believe in Jesus Christ and His atonement, life, divinity, and follow faithfully in "HIM". When He was on the earth, He wants us to be baptized unto "His name"; we can be "born of the Spirit" by receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost from a person with God's authority puts his hands on our heads and gives us the gift. This ceremony is known as confirmation. The Holy Ghost is a Spirit; we are the third member with the Heavenly Father and the son of Jesus Christ. We receive a spirit of the Holy Ghost and walk humbly before "HIM"; He can always be with us. The Holy Ghost is given to us from God to guide us face difficult decisions, comfort us when sad, influence us, and help us recognize the true. This divine reminds us that God loves each one of us. God understood when He created the earth; we won’t be perfect, so He provide way for us to overcome our sins and ability to repent is truly one of our greatest blessings. Repent need to recognize and feel sorry for what we’ve done wrong, do what's possible to repair the damage it had caused; it's difficult and requires a lot of honesty, the joy and freedom are well worth effort. Jesus Christ suffers for our sins, we can be forgiven. His atonement is so important to all of us. We believe in His atonement gives us the ability to repent and to become clean from sin, allows us to become clean in God’s eyes, and remove the feelings of guilt that follow our bad choices. So, we can be with "HIM" at the eternal lives. Show more Show less
