Hi I'm Schane

I'm frong Long Beach, Cali. I Iove life! I love going at 100 Miles an Hour everywhere I go; I'm BIG on food. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Life's Good! I'm inn with the positive and out with the negative. Life's way to short to muddle your way through. I like meeting new people, taking roadtrips and getting creative with the camera.Orginally from Jacksonville, Florida but spent most of my life Long Beach, California. My Mom is from Samoa, and Father from Puerto Rico; I come from a background of rich culture! Since a child i've learned to appreciate the simple things in this life. Prior to becoming a Latter Day Saint I made a lot of bad choices, and wasn't at all happy with where I was; I knew life had more to offer, I just didn't where to go to find "it" but God knew and he began placing people in my life to show me the way. In short, A really good friend of mine put me on to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints; Thats when I began to experience true happiness, and all of a sudden the void in my life was filled! I'm still learning day to day, still coping with everyday challenges, but the knowledge I now have makes anything possible. As a result of coming to know these things I decided to serve as a Full-Time Missionary. The lord has blessed me and now I can share these same blessings with the people in the Oakland/San Francisco area! With this sure knowledge of the true church I know that even better things are in store;because Life is meant to be enjoyed. I am a witness that God can take you from your lowest of lows and lift you up.

Why I am a Mormon

There came a point in my life, where I Just wasn't happy! Something was missing, it was like a huge chunk of me had been undiscovered. I started looking into a few things I "thought" would fill the void, and of course to no avail they failed! But...I started hanging out with a good friend of my mine, I noticed he was unlike any other person I'd ever encountered. He seemed happy just about every time, his happiness was infectious! To add to it, his family was incredibly awesome! They'd always invite me over and treat as though I was one of their own.I started becoming curious as to why they were so DIFFERENT, what compelled them to display such love for some one they barely knew? I would soon come to learn for myself. They invited me to attend a Sunday service at their church, I did. Their services were so much different then what I was used to, yet I felt so at peace whenever I attended. I started to feel what they felt, I began to experience happiness. I wasn't totally convinced however that a simple change in religion would fill the empty void in my life. I didn't know where else to turn, I'd tried other ways that I thought would be fulfilling but they just didn't measure up to how I felt when visiting my friend's church on Sundays. One night I decided to pray, I didn't know what else to do. So I asked the Lord for a some sort of sign, anything as to what to do with my life, where to go and I got my answer. I didn't come in some miraculous flash of light, I didn't hear a voice from the heavens, it was subtle and comforting spirit that came over me, I'd never felt that way before, I knew it was the right thing for me to do. At that moment I made the decision that I would become a part of the church, I haven't looked back since.

How I live my faith

I demonstrate my faith in Christ the best way I can. By being the best person that I can possibly, like everyone I make mistakes. But I take solace in knowing that I have been given the sure opportunity to receive guidance and comfort from the Gospel. I strive to help others, and focus less on my needs. It's not easy in any way, but it's ALWAYS worth it.

Who are the Mormons?

The Mormons are members of the Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. We are people of every race, nationality, social class. We can be found all throughout the world, there are approximately 14 million Mormons worldwide. But in simple, we're people just like everyone else. We believe in God and his Son Jesus Christ. The name "Mormon" is a nickname because of the church's belief in the Book of Mormon ancient scripture revealed to and recorded by prophets in the Americas during the same time the Bible was being written in the Old World.
