Hi I'm WendiAyn

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors. going to the mountains, camping, hiking, fishing, gardening and I like to cook too. I'm a wedding/party planner and I love my job and the creativity that I able the express with every event. I'm the youngest of four kids of my family. I love my family and I love family history and learning where my family came from and the things they did. I love learning, I'm always taking some kind of a class to learn something new. I love music and singing, I play the piano and organ. I love the quiet little town I live in. My ancestors actually helped settle the area in the 1800s and the people that live here have always been friendly and caring and dependable. They're always there when you need them. it's a wonderful, comforting feeling to know your neighbor and the person up the street or across town, you know them and they know you.

Why I am a Mormon

I know the Savior came to the earth to teach us by His example, how we should live and treat those around us. He taught us how to forgive and be forgiven. He is always there for us, He knows how we feel, He's felt our pain, when He was praying in the garden of Gethsemane, He felt every pain and hurt and hurt feeling we have ever felt or will feel in our lives. He has and will stand beside us at all times, I know that if we will pray and ask, He will help us and comfort us and He will show us the things we need to do to return to our Heavenly Father. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God and with the guidance of Heavenly Father, he restored the gospel of Jesus Christ and translated the Book of Mormon. I love the scriptures, I love learning from them, I've had the advantage of being a member of the church all of my life and I feel so blessed to of had the gospel to help me and guide me in my life. I know that we will be blessed for our efforts to follow the Saviors example and teachings and I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I'm a ward missionary and I teach an adult Sunday school class. I try to apply the principle of the Gospel to everything I do in my life. It doesn't matter if I'm working or shopping or driving down the street, the Gospel is a part of it. as I learn more about Christ and His teachings, and the Book of Mormon, it makes me want to be more Christlike and help others find the peace and comfort that knowing Christ brings to your heart and I play the piano/organ for church meetings. I 'm a Family History Consultant and I help others with they're family history/genealogy. I'm a visiting Teacher. I help with the cooking for the events in the ward.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

WendiAyn
Church Services are a peaceful time that we can worship God and His son Jesus Christ. Where we can reflect and give thanks for the blessings we have . They usually last about 3 hours. We have sacrament meeting, which is our family worship meeting and we sing hymns and members of the ward will offer prayers and we partake of the sacrament, which is kind of like communion, the bread & water are blessed and passed to those in attendance who wish to partake. Then we have 2 or 3 speakers who have been ask and assigned to talk, we have Sunday school classes for age group of the youth ages 12 -18 and separate primary classes for the children ages 3 - 11 and nursery for the little ones ages 18 mos to 3 yrs. Young women classes for the girls 12 - 18. Relief Society for the women 18 & up. Priesthood meetings for each age group of boy 12 -18 and men 18 & up. Everyone is welcome and we invite to come and worship with us. We never pass an offering plate or ask for donations as part of our worship services. That is a choice you make on your own without being asked during a meeting. Show more Show less
