Hi I'm Travis

Relax, that's what I do.

About Me

I love learning. I seriously have a craving to learn. I'll basically learn about anything... Except English, I don't like English. I am the 3rd of eight children. I enjoy playing the guitar, but only because it sounds so cool; I actually can't play it that well at all. I am also slowly -oh, so slowly- learning to play the piano. I'm currently working on a double Major in Economics and Computer Science. And... I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to follow this Church because it feels right. There truly is not much else to it, nor do I believe that I need anything more. It really is that simple. Many people may say that more reassurance is needed than this, but there really isn't. I have been shaken to the very foundation of my being about the reality of God and the solemn witness that this church is where I am supposed to be. Like the Nephite prophet Alma said. Plant the seed of faith, give it a little nourishment, and see wether or not it is good. I have done this, and I thouroughly know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the one, and only, church that Jesus Christ leads on this earth. I believe the bible to be the word of God, as long as it is translated correctly. It doesn't make sense to me why there should be a bunch of different versions; one Author, one version come on, it makes sense... The Spirit has born witness of the divinity of this Church, and also of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon, as well as the Bible. This is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to eradicate the attributes I have that are not in harmony with the Lord's teachings. It's a daily battle, but one that is worth the fight.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Short answer: No. Long answer: "God is no respecter of persons: but in every nation he that feareth him and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him (Acts 10: 34, 35)." So, it doesn't matter who you are, or what you look like, you can still receive all that Christ offers. Show more Show less
