Hi I'm Tara

I'm a nursing student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the simple things in life: the ocean, spending time with family and friends, roller coasters, shaved ice, a good movie, ultimate Frisbee, hiking, the mountains, sledding, homemade ice cream, spending time on the river, the stars, the smell of freshly cut hay, and baking cookies. I try to live life as spontaneously as possible, but I truly believe worthwhile goals are essential for a productive and happy life. I love holidays, because I get to spend time with my family. It's easy to take life too seriously, so I try to laugh as much as possible. I want to be a nurse, because the best feeling in the world comes from making someone's day. Time is best spent surrounded by good friends, so I try to make as many as I can.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the peace and assurance that the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me. We live in a word with such turmoil and confusion. I am so grateful for scriptures and living prophets! I know what the Lord would have me do. I don't have to wonder what is right and true. I know for myself! So much peace and joy comes from living the commandments of God.

How I live my faith

I try to see others as the Savior sees them and serve them as He would serve them. It can be as simple as going out of my way to talk to someone or giving someone a shoulder to cry on. I serve in the women's organization to plan activities and service projects for other young single adult women. I also volunteer for a summer oncology camp for children with cancer and their families. One of the greatest feelings in the word come from offering Christlike service.
