Hi I'm Rigo.

I love sports. I love being in shape. I'm competitive. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in South Texas in a family with two younger brothers. Being the oldest is at times a burden and a blessing. My life growing up revolved around playing in the infamous "Friday Night Lights." Football is my favorite sport and I love everything about the game: Competitiveness, Discipline, Accountability, Work Ethic. I love hanging out with friends and just having a good laugh. My family means the world to me and has allowed me to become the person I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents and I are converts to the Church. Becoming a member has allowed me to really see how important it is to follow Jesus Christ and what He teaches to really be happy in this life. In this Church, I quickly learned how important families are in God's eyes, and I quickly learned how having Christlike teachings in the home will keep the family united together in love. The Book of Mormon is the anchor for my being a part of this wonderful Church. As more of God's word, I've gained a greater and more abiding trust in Jesus Christ as the Savior for the world. I know this Church helps keep families united and I know that Jesus Christ allows us to live together with our families after this life.

How I live my faith

Serving and being a part of an organization where people strive to live a Christlike life has given me a lot of strength to do so as well. I've had the opportunity to teach people about Jesus Christ for two years in Seattle, Washington. This opportunity allowed me to really see how when people develop a relationship with Christ they are happier with themselves and the world around them. I've learned serving and interacting with various people and cultures that true happiness comes from living a Christlike life. It's been an enormous blessing to see people change their lives in a way that allows them to be free and happy in life.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

God has given us families because He loves us. Families are the organizations here on earth where we can really find true lasting happiness. The gospel of Jesus Christ helps protect families from the dangers the world presents. Families can provide an environment for love, learning, and individual growth. I know that God has a plan for each of our families to obtain happiness together only because of all the blessings I've seen in my family from being a member of this Church. God wants us to live with our families together forever after this life with Him. Show more Show less
