Hi I'm Vonelle

I live in Colorado and like to spend my time volunteering in my local community.

About Me

I volunteer as a Victim Advocate with a local law enforcement agency as well as volunteering with the Adult Literacy and ESL programs through the local library. I enjoy working with and meeting people of all nationalities, religions and cultures. I work full time and I am currently working on my college degree in Sociology. My husband is retired military and we have lived in various places throughout the world.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, I was not a member of the church. It wasn't until I was 10 years old, and my mother had passed away that I was introduced to the gospel. The teachings of the gospel answered questions that I had regarding life after death. It also helped to prepare me to develop attributes that would help me to become a happier and more productive person. The gospel has also given me a perspective needed to raise a loving family. It has also given me the tools to help me face adversity and know that the Lord loves me and will be my constant companion.

How I live my faith

It is my goal to set a good example for the people that I come into contact with, on a daily basis. I strive to be honest in all of my dealings with people and to be kind and loving. I enjoy teaching my Primary class of 8 year-olds. They are the age when they get baptized and I enjoy sharing in their baptism experiences.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No, Mormons do not only help other Mormons. I have lived in different communities around the world, and Mormons do their best to work with all people in their communities. We are encouraged to provide community service. Our missionary program focuses on service to others. Our church organizations also focus on activities that provide service to all people who may be in need. Show more Show less
