Hi I'm Marilyn

I am a wife, mother of 6 and grandmother of 26. Our family keeps me busy.

About Me

I follow politics, love to read, research my family history, enjoy music, serve my family and also serve in my church's organizations.

Why I am a Mormon

Even though I was born into a rich heritage in this church, my testimony of the Savior and His restored church come from continued personal study, prayer, fasting and striving to live according to the standards set by the Lord. From a very early age, I have known the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Savior's authorized church on earth. This testimony has deepened as the years pass. Being a disciple of Jesus Christ brings me great joy. I love to read the scriptures, particularly the Book of Mormon, I am continually amazed what I learn from its pages. Being a member of the Lord's church has not shielded me from life's challenges, but it has helped me gain an eternal perspective. I have grown to depend more on His grace and love to help me through difficult times. Though I do not fully understand how the Atonement of Jesus Christ was wrought, I do know it is real and have experienced peace and hope because of it.

How I live my faith

I have had numerous assignments through the years as a teacher or leader in the organizations of my church. I love working with the primary children right now. After our children were raised, my husband and I served a mission together in Argentina for 18 months It was wonderful to share the restored gospel of Jesus Christ with others. The best part was watching the change in lives when investigators accepted baptism and came to understand more fully the gospel of Jesus Christ. Being a member of this church is not just for Sunday, it is a life style. A life centered in Jesus Christ. At least once a month I attend the Temple where I am able to perform sacred ordinances in behalf of my ancestors who didn't have the blessing of the restored gospel in life. The temple links me with my ancesors and my posterity. My greatest satisfaction comes from serving my family.
