Hi I'm Jeannie

I am a wife to my husband, a mother to my 3 children, a preschool administrator and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My 15 year old daughter just asked me yesterday, "what was my best year?" I couldn't pick a year so she asked me to broaden the selection to "time". My answer to her couldn't have been more perfect for what she might have wanted to hear and yet, it was the simple truth. I have had a fantastic up-bringing with loving parents, I played hard in order to experience life to 'my' fullest yet I understand the joy of hard work, survived high school, tested the university life, I have traveled extensively in and out of the United States, I taught English in a 3rd world country, served a full time mission in the beautiful Philippine Islands, I married a man who loves me and has become everything to me, and yet, my best "TIME" would have to be my MOM TIME! I have never felt such joy, frustration, peace, fear, elation, exhaustion.... happiness? I could go on forever looking for words to express this, "my best time"! :-)

Why I am a Mormon

It's simple, I read the Book of Mormon! Even though I was raised in the church I had my doubts and wasn't sure I would follow it's teachings. At the time I was leaving home and going out on my own. I decided it was time for me to make some crucial life decisions. Giving the religious life up was risky and so I did not take it lightly. I decided to give 6 months to studying the Book of Mormon, Praying to my Heavenly Father and attending church all on a regular basis. The timing was perfect as I would be in a foreign land for 6 months and would have no outside influence. It was me, God and my conscience. After about 3 hard months of following through on my commitment, God made it very clear to me that the Book of Mormon was indeed true. I have not questioned it since. I am thankful for the feelings that converted me that day.

How I live my faith

I serve in my church as a youth leader. I teach lessons to young women on Sundays. I plan and host weekday activities and once a year I take the young women in my church on a 5 day camping trip.
