Hi I'm Joyce

I grew up in Idaho, enjoy sewing and reading. I know Jesus is my Savior, that he lives and loves each one of us. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of six, three girls and three boys. I am retired from a lifetime of helping and nurturing the sick, as a nurse. Am enjoying doing family history, temple work, and enjoying my friends and family. I love to sew, read and travel as able. Have lived in multiple areas of the united states. My love of family has increased much by my searching out my ancestors and learning more about my heritage. Many of my ancestors joined the church in the early days and endured the problems of being run out of their homes and coming accross the plains for their love of the gospel. I hope that I can always be firm and steadfast in the gospel as they have taught me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a Mormon family and taught in my youth by loving parents, the basics of the gospel. I have known the church is true since my youth, but through the years of many callings my faith and testimony has grown. I Love the scriptures and read and study on a daily basis, more so as I increase in age. I have tried to teach my children the gospel and my love for the savior and his church. I know we are lead by living prophets today just as they were in the ancient church. The gospel was taken from the earth at various times since the days of Adam. Most recently restored in 1830 by Joseph Smith, under the direction of the Lord Jesus Christ. I know that we can get revelation from Heavenly father, for he is a loving father and desires our happiness. He will bless us according to our needs and in his time if we follow his commandments. We are all His Children and He Lives and loves us all. We are all brothers and Sisters and should show love for each and everyone.

How I live my faith

I have been an active member of the church all my life. Have served in many teaching assignments, as a visiting teacher I visit my assigned sisters on a regular basis, at least monthly and oftener if the spirit prompts me to do so. I am involved in family history and work in our family history center on a weekly basis and on Sundays during Sunday school time. I have worked with the youth in my younger years. and have served two service missions. and work in the temple. I attend a weekly family home evening study with some of the other widows and study the scriptures with them on a weekly basis. Daily prayer is a habit, which gets me through each day.
