Hi I'm Todd

I live in Arizona, therefore I sweat. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a lucky father to 4 girls and 1 boy, and I also have a beautiful wife. I work as a civil engineer and even though I live in Arizona, I like to spend time outdoors. We like to hike, play golf (when time and money allows), and also camping. I come from a small desert town where the nights are so clear the stars and heavens are amazing to witness.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church. I joined when I was 30 years old. Growing up, I have always had friends who were members, but never looked into it too much. My wife has been a member all her life and as we were dating, I decided to look into the church more - only out of curiosity and so that I could understand her beliefs more. It turned out the church's beliefs matched my feelings a lot more than I thought. After a while I decided to be baptised and become official. I enjoy the values we live (especially being family focused) and the blessings we receive.

How I live my faith

I used to teach 10 year olds in the chuch, but now work with the full time missionaries on finding others that would like to learn about the church. I visit 2 great families in our ward (people who attend church at the same time as us) every month (or as often as my schedule allows) to make sure they are doing well and check if they need any help I, or the church, can provide. I also teach, along with 3 other men, an introductory class about the church's beliefs, values, structure, etc. to members of our ward. I don't always feel comfortable speaking in front of class, but the attendies make it fun and I always learn something. My wife and I also try to set one evening aside to spend with our children to learn, or at least re-visit, a lesson or value we think will help them to become better (little) people. We try to read the scriptures daily, even if it is just a couple of verses each. I try to always encourage, and show by example, my children to pray and keep a good relationship with our Heavenly Father and his son, Jesus Christ. Also to live how they would want us to.
