Hi I'm Crystal

I'm a reader, an organizer, a math nerd, a seamstress, a wife and a mother of four, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to teach. I love to see the light go on in someone's eyes when they realize they can do something they thought they couldn't before. I like to create things with my hands. Building, sewing, painting, just don't ask me to write or draw anything by hand as I have terrible penmanship. I like things orderly, but with four children I don't get that very often. I love to travel and see new places and speak in other languages. I've studied Spanish, Italian and French, and wish I could use them more often. I love a good book and recently realized I enjoy history...who knew?

Why I am a Mormon

The true and complete gospel of Jesus Christ gives me peace, and guides the way I live my life and teach my children. The family is central to God's plan for His children. Being a member of His church helps me as a mother to raise my children to love God and follow His commandments. When my husband and I follow the prophet's counsel our family is stronger and our children are more prepared to face the challenges in this life.

How I live my faith

My passion is teaching and when I talk of Christ I feel His love for me and for everyone around me. That feeling reminds me that we are all children of a Heavenly Father who loves each one of us. Hopefully that knowledge guides the way I treat people. I try to live each day to be on good, honest terms with my Creator and my membership in this church not only helps me to do that, but helps me go beyond by serving His other children. Right now I love that I get to teach my daughter and her friends about Christ's life from the New Testament.

In whom should we have faith?

Crystal
It is fine to have faith or confidence in a man or woman, but ultimately the only person who has the ability to keep every promise he makes is Jesus Christ. He is our Savior, He is the Son of God and as such has power to keep covenants and promises He makes to us. His is a Word you can trust. I have faith that Christ has suffered and died for me and was resurrected so I, too, can live again with Him if I can keep my promises to Him. Show more Show less
