Hi I'm Wes

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have two little boys and another child on the way. I'm an Engineer in the telecommunications field. I love to waterski and wakeboard, play and watch all sports, camp, fish, hike, etc. I love spending time with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family that are members of the LDS Church, which definitely helped shape my beliefs, but that's not the main reason I'm still a member. I remember as a young boy reading the Book of Mormon one night and I had this feeling of peace. I realized at that point that I knew what I was reading was true. I believed it fully. From there my belief has grown as I've continued to read the scriptures, attend Church meetings, talk about the gospel and Christ with others, and above all pray. I've continued to feel the spirit of God in my heart, a warm feeling of peace, letting me know that what I was reading or hearing was true. Being a member of the Church has helped me to become a better man, and more importantly a better husband and father. It's been a great comfort to me knowing that my family and I can be together for all eternity. I know that God lives, that He's our Father in Heaven. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and our Savior and Redeemer. I know that the Book of Mormon and the Bible are true scriptures. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that we have a living prophet today.

How I live my faith

I serve others in our local congregation by teaching the 12 and 13 year boys on Sundays. I'm also the scoutmaster for our Boy Scout troop. The youth are a great example to me of courage and faith. There are a lot of tough challenges facing kids today, and to see a group of young men use their faith to overcome and avoid these challenges is inspiring.
