Hi I'm Maureen

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi I am Maureen my husband and I have three children, ten grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. My family is the delight of my life. We also have an Apache indian foster daughter whose family we consider members of our family. This gives us three more grandchildren and four more great grandchildren whom we also love. My favorite sport is skin diving. This favorite sport we enjoyed as a family. Reading is my favorite passtime. One of the things I love to do is have my family over to our home for special birthday dinners. My family is kind enough to say they enjoy my cooking almost as much as they enjoy getting together for our visits. I love to travel and visit different places. I especially enjoy the peace and quiet of being in the mountains.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a fifth generation member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am so grateful for my wonderful ancestors that listened to the missionaries and joined the church. It has become a great legacy for me. My parents were wonderful examples and set a good example for me in living my religeon. It has become a way of life for me that I truly love. I have throughout my life known in my heart that God the Father and Jesus Christ my Savior love me and want me to be able to return to them when the time is right.

How I live my faith

My membership in this church has given me many opportunities to serve in various ways. I have been a teacher and leader to children, teenagers, and adult women. I have also served many years in leadership callings especially in the woman's organization including as president of the women's organization over several congregations. Working closely with the priesthood has been an inspiration. I love the way the priesthood brethren honor and support the women in their responsibilities. My husband and I served a mission together in the London England Mission. This experience of working closely together and serving the people is a high light of my life. I am currently serving in one of our churches temples. I particularly enjoy working with the brides who will be married for time and eternity. In raising our children we prayed together and held family home evenings in which we played together, studied together and help family counsels. In this we taught our children to worship and be true Christians.
