Hi I'm Bob

I'm a Mormon and have been for 22 years.

About Me

I am married and a father of four children. I have worked in real estate all of my adult life focusing on commercial, industrial and retail applications. At one point in my life I assembled the world's largest antique barbed wire collection now housed in the Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City, OK. I am the co-author of a book entitled "Barriers" An encyclopedia of United States Barbed Fence Patents published in 1986. I have been an avid skier and enjoy fishing in high country Colorado environs. My wife Sharon and I enjoy the challenge of outdated dysfunctional properties and have physically remodeled several properties to become homes and sanctuaries for our family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was friendshiped by a church member for over 17 years. We enjoyed a deep friendship and my only comment to him regarding the Church was to say that "I believed that he believed everything that he was trying to share with me was true." My conversion came at a moment when we were sharing a piece of art that my friend had sculpted. The room filled with the Holy Spirit and I received in an instant confirmation that my Savior was alive and cared for me specifically and was interested in my welfare. This was a life changing event as I went from a non believer to an individual that was left with no doubt that all my friend had been telling me was true and more. God lives, his son Jesus Christ is my savior and his gospel has been restored on Earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet on Earth at this time and conducts the affairs of the Church as he is instructed.

How I live my faith

Before my conversion I spent a great deal of time in bars and similar restaurants discussing business matters, sports and other things of the world. That has changed. I now spend time helping families that are in need or spend time organizing or assisting in church related activities. These activities are generally socially specific but sometimes it just involves in helping a friend help a church member with car issues.
