Hi I'm Tasha Lea Evans

I'm a redheaded vocalist with high-functioning autism. I adore my daughter and husband. I like to craft and travel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a stay-at-home mom with a Master's degree in Vocal Performance. I've been married to my AMAZING husband for almost 2 years and we have a BEAUTIFUL baby girl. I am so grateful to have a forever family! We love having adventures together, like going on walks and visiting museums, but we also like to relax and watch movies or TV. :) In 2013, I returned from serving as a full-time, volunteer missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Tampa, Florida. I was not able to serve the planned 18 months due to mental health concerns--I have major depression, anxiety, and high-functioning autism. I continue to struggle with my mental illnesses, but I have found hope in Christ. Even though some days are really hard, I know there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Why I am a Mormon

I have studied many religions and cultures, because they intrigue me and I love to learn! I have found some beautiful truths in Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, and many other faiths. I believe that truth is truth no matter where you find it. In all my studies, I have found the most answers to my questions in Mormonism. I have also found the most peace in this religion. I haven't always been the most steadfast person--I've slipped up and goofed off, as we all have! But the more I have studied this Gospel and the more I've come to know Christ, the more loved I feel.

How I live my faith

Right now, I don't have a "job" at church, like helping youth or playing the piano--so, at church I participate by answering questions in Sunday School and singing the hymns! :) In my community, I am dedicated to sharing essential oils with those around me. I believe God gave us this beautiful Earth and the things on it to help us in our lives. Sharing essential oils with my friends and family helps me remember what amazing blessings God has given all of us.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Tasha Lea Evans
Only some Mormons are permitted to enter temples because they are considered holy places, houses of the Lord. Only members of the Church who are mature and obey the commandments as best they can may enter these holy temples. What happens in the temples is not secret, it is sacred. Anyone who lives worthily, per the Lord's standards, may come to know what happens in temples. Temples are places where amazingly wonderful things happen. Husband and wife, and their families, may be bound together for time and all eternity. Ordinances, such as baptism, are performed by proxy for those who did not have the opportunity to hear the gospel while in this life. Temples are also places of learning, where we can learn eternal, beautiful and important truths. Show more Show less
