Hi I'm Narelle

I live in Queensland, Australia and I'm a stay at home mother of 4 children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My husband and I have 4 children and moved to Queensland from Tasmania 16 years ago. We have started scuba diving together and recently went on a dive holiday on the Great Barrier Reef to celebrate our wedding anniversary. It's something we love and hope to be able to continue doing together into retirement. I'm a regular gym attender and a stay at home Mum, which I love. I enjoy cooking and surfing the internet for that next family favourite.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was five years old and although I always felt good about going it was when I was 14 that I started going for me. I started praying sincerely and I just knew that Heavenly Father was real and that I was important to HIm and that the church's teachings were true. I 've never had any one great conversion experience, it's been lots of little experiences that have added up over the years.Going to church and the teachings that I learn there just feel right, and I've had answers to my prayers. To some the concept of The Book of Mormon may sound strange. To me, when I read it I feel happy inside and my day always goes just right compared with the days that I don't. I know that it really is true, that those events really did happen and that Jesus Christ did appear to other nations after his death and resurrection. The Gospel really helps me as a wife and mother. I can teach my children great values and it strengthens my marriage as well. I know what Heavenly Father expects of me and I feel great doing it.

How I live my faith

I'm the Young Women's president for the 12 to 18 year old girls at our local church. Along with the 5 other ladies on our team we teach and plan activities for the 30 girls in our care. It gets pretty busy sometimes but I love it. We organize camps, Sunday lessons and youth activities. Only last week our group sang two choir songs we'd been practicing infront of 1500 other youth at a local meeting. The girls loved it. What an experience.
