Hi I'm Quinn

I'm an engineer, the father of four wonderful children, and the husband of an incredible wife.

About Me

I was fortunate to grow up in a large family with great parents and siblings. Family vacations often consisted of camping and fishing trips that made memories to last a lifetime. Now, my wife and I have a family of our own with four children that make life fun and keep us busy! We enjoy going on family hikes and bike rides in the beautiful state of Colorado. My wife and I spend much of our free time at our children's gymnastics meets, piano/violin recitals, and baseball/soccer games. We love every minute of it! I enjoy sports and reading (when there is time!) as well as working on projects around the house and yard. Professionally, I'm an engineer and, as such, I like computers and figuring out how things work.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for many reasons. Among the most significant is that it brings happiness to me and my family. Over the course of my life, I've learned that living the principles of the gospel as taught in the scriptures brings peace and hope to me and draws my family closer together. The gospel is meaningful to me because it is real. It is more than just a set of beliefs - it's a way of life. I'm an engineer and, like so many others, I've spent a lot of time studying principles of math and science. As I've applied them, I've come to know that those principles are true. My faith in spiritual principles is very similar. As I've studied the principles of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ, and have tried to live them, I've learned that they are true as well. Through a few significant experiences and through a lot of small, incremental ones, I've come to know that God lives and loves us each individually as His children. I've come to know that He has a plan for us - a plan that can bring peace and fulfillment in this life and beyond. I've gained a knowledge that God loves us enough to send prophets in our day just as He did during ancient times. His love is manifested through the scriptures that teach us His will through the Bible, the Book of Mormon, and other volumes of scripture. As we choose to follow what is taught in those sacred books, we can find peace individually and can make a difference in the world by serving selflessly as the Savior did. My faith and knowledge of those principles extends beyond what I've learned in my mind, but extends to what I know in my heart. It's become a part of who I am and why I'm here. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Over the course of my experience in the church, I've been blessed with many wonderful opportunities to serve. I was fortunate to serve as a full time missionary for two years in the maritime provinces of Canada. What great people in a great land! I enjoy teaching and have been blessed with the opportunity to teach children's Sunday school classes as well as "early morning seminary" classes for high school youth. Now I'm fortunate to work with young men and young women organizations as well as other groups in one of the Colorado stakes of the Church. While serving in church positions has been a great blessing for me, perhaps the most important way that I try to live my faith is in my home. For me and my wife, our children are everything to us. We read the scriptures each morning together at breakfast. We take turns saying family prayers every morning and evening. We do fun things together to build strong relationships and to provide opportunities for our children to learn through positive experiences and through serving others. They are incredible kids with boundless potential. We are on a journey together that brings interesting new experiences every day!
