Hi I'm Mike

I work in the security field. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've lived in Colorado for 11 years, and it's a beautiful place. I've worked in the security field for over 25 years. My hobbies are model railroading, gardening, and watching movies. I've been married for over 30 years and have six children. I enjoy playing strategic board games with my family and friends. I love puns!

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the church when I was 16. I had been attending a protestant church since I was eight, but came to feel that it's teachings about God did not feel right to me. I was invited by a friend to attend meetings, and when I attended I felt like I had come home. My family started attending also, and we eventually were all baptized together. My testimony that it is the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ has continued to grow ever since. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he died for me so that I could be healed from my sins. Living His gospel brings me great joy, peace, and happiness.

How I live my faith

Living my religion means following the teachings of Jesus every day. I try to live by the golden rule, and treat all others with respect and love. My responsibility in the church is as a leader of one of the men's organizations, and I organize the care for our members who are in need. Being able to serve others by helping them is a great blessing, and makes me very happy. I believe that following God's commandments liberates you to feel joy and peace.
