Hi I'm Cassandra

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, a sister, a daughter. Most importantly, I am a stay-at-home mommy to 6 crazy kids, and I love it! Everyday is a new adventure, and each child is filled with their own unique personality. I spend my days cleaning, cooking, playing with my little ones and begging my 2 middle children to stop fighting :) and did I mention cooking and cleaning? ;) I love making things with my hands, I sew, I craft, and recently I started making custom cakes. That last talent is something I just kind of stumbled upon, and I love it! I love to read, when I get a few, very rare, quiet minutes. This week, I started doing homeschool with my preschooler and toddler. I stay pretty busy, my house is usually a mess no matter how much cleaning I do. And though I am usually worn out by bedtime, I treasure every part of my life, for each part is a blessing, even the difficult parts. I have a husband that loves us and takes care of us, I have 6 fun, spirited kids and I have the knowledge that this is forever, And THAT is the best thing in the world.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony is simple. I love Jesus Christ. I am grateful for His sacrifice. Being a mormon gives me the knowledge of eternal families, and this is so exciting to me. I know that my family will be together forever, these people that I love, I will get to love for eternity. That is the greatest of all gifts, and without Jesus Christ and His sacrifice, it would not be so. I love being a mormon and I love the people in my church. Everywhere I have lived and all of the different congregations I have been in, one thing is always the same, always true, always steady, the gospel of Jesus Christ is firm, it is my rock.

How I live my faith

I love to help people and serve others, it gives me joy and purpose. I get to share my talents and serve others in our church through my calling. I help plan activities that bring the women in our church closer together, we serve others, learn new talents, and offer support for one another through monthly visits. Each week I wrestle my kids into their Sunday clothes (hope they are clean) and we all go to church. We sit in the front, the kids wiggle a lot and I usually have 1 or 2 falling asleep on my lap, but that's OK, because I still feel the Spirit each week. I love the "family" feeling that this church offers. We are all brothers and sisters, sons and daughters of a loving Heavenly Father.
