Hi I'm Stephan

I live in Colorado. I am an Executive Chef. I am a father, a husband, a cyclist and YES, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 38 years old. I am a father, Husband, Son and a brother. I spent 5.5 years serving in the US Army as a Military Police Officer, Hooah! I love pretty much anything that has to do with food, family and cycling. I have four children all boys from ages 15 down to 18 months.

Why I am a Mormon

I was lost! Plain and simple. I found myself asking the questions like, "if God loves us so much why did he leave us here to fend for ourselves"? "If he cares so much why is he letting me all of this happen to me"? I met a person, who later became my wife, was explaining to me that she was aware of this plan that God had for each of us and as she explained it I realized that I really just didn't understand what the heck she was talking about! So we agreed not to talk about it anymore. Long story short I had a really strong prompting that I needed to get more information about this "PLAN". So I made a phone call. When the Missionaries taught me the first lesson and asked me to pray about what we had talked about and ask if it were not true. That night I did in earnest to which I was overcome by the Spirit of the Lord. I knew in that moment, what I was learning, reading and being taught was the full truth. I asked these Missionaries those questions I had, thinking I could catch them off guard and they pointed to the Scriptures of Jesus Christ where I found my answers. My heart was changed. I know that this is the One true Church of Jesus Christ. I know Christ died for our sins so we could be free enough to make decisions and return to our Heavenly Father. I believe that Jesus has put a Prophet on this earth to help guide us and as we make good and right choices we will be blessed, our families will be blessed and we will return to live with our brothers and sisters in Heavenly Fathers presence.

How I live my faith

I once heard when I was younger that Service is the highest form of Love. So I serve as much as I can, not just my neighbors but those I may come across on the street. How can I help? I do the best to magnify my church calling as a 2nd Counselor to the President of Melchizedek Priesthood Holders. We are assigned families in our ward that we get to be of service to by making sure they are doing good and bringing them Gospel Messages and exercising the Priesthood in order to bless those families.
