Hi I'm Teresa

I am a wife. I am a mother of five children. I love my family! I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I absolutely love my family! We have so much fun together and are best friends. My greatest joy is being a wife and mother. I have a college education, and continue to enjoy learning and developing new talents. Being an at-home mother of five children has certainly helped me to develop talents that I never thought I had, and I am so thankful for all the joy it brings to my life. I enjoy making happy memories together. I enjoy reading good books, knitting, baking, and traveling.

Why I am a Mormon

I am thankful for the joy and peace that the gospel brings to our lives, both personally and as a family. Knowing that we will be together forever is my greatest joy. It helps to give me an eternal perspective to all that we do in life, measuring what is most important, and how we can become all that our Heavenly Father knows we can become. He loves us and wants us to be happy, both here and eternally. Family life is designed to provide a level of joy and fulfillment that is not found in any other way. I feel so thankful that He has blessed me with a loving husband and children. They make my life so sweet and rewarding.

How I live my faith

We love to serve. You don't have to do something grand, just do something. Simple things are sometimes just what is needed, and may be the answer to someone's prayers. We love to do "service runs" with the children; delivering bread, or meals, or goodies to our neighbors and friends. It's important to teach them the joy of service. Our family scripture is found in the Book of Mormon, in Mosiah 2:17, ""And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God." My husband is the Bishop of our local congregation. I am happy to support him in this calling. We have both served in various capacities in the Church and have always felt blessed for doing so.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Teresa
All worthy males should serve a mission. Females and older couples may also serve. I am thankful for the opportunity that I had to serve a mission. Heavenly Father is definitely mindful of His children, and it was beautiful to see lives touched and bettered by the gospel of Jesus Christ. My husband and I look forward to serving as many missions as we will be capable of when we get older and our children leave home. Show more Show less
