Hi I'm Rochelle

I'm a mom of 4 kids. A wife. A daughter. A small business owner. A blogger. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom of 4 kids. A wife to a wonderful husband. A blogger. An ameteur photographer. A lover of education. I was born and raised as a Mormon. I have wonderful parents who are faithful in living the gospel of Jesus Christ. They taught me good morals, responsibilities, and how to work hard. During college, I was blessed to be able to marry a man in the temple. The blessings of the temple seal families together for all eternity. I graduated from BYU with a Master of Accountancy and worked full time for about a year. But after having my first baby, I cut working back to part-time. Now that I have babies 2,3, and 4, I only work quarter time from home. I do the books and financials for my husband's physical therapy business and some tax compliance for a local accounting firm. My education has been a huge blessing in my life. We work hard together as a family to make the business work. Being self employed has been challenging and rewarding at the same time. But my favorite job is being the mommy to 4 little ones (right now aging from 9 to 6 months). It's never dull or busy and mostly chaotic, but I can't imagine doing anything else. The most important work I will ever do is raising these sweet kids. I continually strive to instill in them a knowledge of a loving Heavenly Father. We love to travel and create life experiences for our children. Much of our travel revolves around camping in our trailer or visiting family. I love a good beach with a good book in hand!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a Mormon my entire life. My personal converstion happened in my youth when I truly felt the spirit and confirmation of the truthfulness of the gospel. I have seen over and over in my life when those around me choose to keep the commandments of God, their lives are blessed. I know this for certain. I know our Heavenly Father has blessed my family as we have strived to live and teach our children the gospel. The gospel of Jesus Christ is full of love, hope, forgivenness, happiness, and peace. I need the gospel because I need the strength that it gives me to face challenges, big and small. I am grateful for the Lord's plan for families and know that through the gospel of Jesus Christ I can be with my family not just in this life, but forever. I can think of no greater blessing. The quite times in my life when the spirit has touched my heart affirms my faith and my commitment to following Him and leading the best life I can.

How I live my faith

I choose to live my faith each and every day. In order to feel the peace of the gospel and the closeness to the Savior, I know I need to be keeping the commandments. It is the small and simple actions such as praying together as a family, chosing good influences, dressing modestly, avoiding foul language, reading the scriptures, and attending my church meetings that truly bring peace, happiness and comfort to a often stressful and busy life. I enjoy serving in the church and have done so my entire adult life. I love working and teaching children and youth classes. And have often had to draw on my piano lessons as a child to help out with playing children's songs or hymns.
