Hi I'm Kevin Casciere

I'm a drummer, a firefighter, I love music and sports, and to just have a good time with the people I'm around, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in a small town in northeast Ohio, I've been a member of the church for my whole life. I was one of the only members in my high school of about 900 people. I love playing the drums in any kind of band I can get into. I've played soccer since I was 5 and love to be a goal keeper. I also did track and field as a thrower and I love being in musicals. I am the youngest of three kids and love being able to look up to my brother and sister since they are great examples for me. I love my parents and am super grateful for all they do for me. I love just being able to hang out with my friends and joke around and have a good time. I plan on being a firefighter/paramedic after I am done with school at Utah Valley University. I'm an eagle scout so I love being able to just get away from the world by going camping and generally am the one who is next to the fire poking it with a stick. I believe that you can achieve anything if you put your mind to it and give it your all.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the church because I can't even begin to imagine what my life would be like without the gospel and the guidelines for life that it gives me. I never really gained a full testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel until I read the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true. I also went through a rough time in my life when I was about 17 where it felt that everything around me came crashing down and I had completely lost my way, as I turned to the Lord for His assistance I felt that my prayers were unheard and that I was receiving no answers or assistance for the problems in my life. This lead me to stop praying all together. As time went on my problems continued to get worse and so did my life. I eventually was left with nothing but prayer. As I began again to try and communicate with my Father in Heaven I felt my life begin to improve and I started to find strength to overcome my problems, eventually my prayers were answered and I received the help I needed to get back on the right path in my life. Through the atonement of Jesus Christ I have felt His overwhelming love and forgiveness, I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who knows us all individually and cares for us. He wants us to be happy in this life and to be able to find answers to the questions that we have. I know this church is true with all my heart and that it has greatly blessed my life and I know that it will continue to be a blessing as I live the commandments.

How I live my faith

I served a two year mission in Anaheim California and shared the gospel with anyone and everyone that was willing to listen to our glorious message. Now that my mission is complete I try to take every opportunity that I can find to provide service and help others. I love serving in the church and always try to live the gospel to the best of my abilities. I continue to look for opportunities to share the gospel.

Do Mormons practice polygamy?

Kevin Casciere
NO!!! Mormons at a time did practice polygamy but only because after intense persecution to the saints many of the men were killed leaving women and children husband less and fatherless. Polygamy was only practiced for a short time in order to take care of and provide for those that were in need. The church today does not practice it, we believe in only having one spouse and being completely loyal to them at all times. Show more Show less
