Hi I'm Kari

I'm a Mormon. My husband was already a member, I converted in Nov 2010 w/ my 2 older kids. Life is amazing since the baptism.

About Me

I am an at home mom of 3 kids, and a housewife to a superb provider. I was married before and had 2 beautiful children. I always used to dream of a home where I could stay home and raise my children. I dreamed of a church that felt more like a family and cared about my family. I never felt at home anywhere and life was so hard. I worked many jobs and when I became a single mom, I felt even more loss and had no support and understanding from the church we were in. I left the church and struggled with God and who he was. I love being outdoors and I love my family, Including the church family I have now.

Why I am a Mormon

I was baptized in November 2010 with my 2 older kids and our love for the Gospel has grown so much and continues to grow everyday. The 2 missionaries that came to our home for our lessons, were patient and kind, and fun! They worked with us and we still stay in touch. The true church of Heavenly Father has changed my family home to a safe, loving, and peaceful home. The adversary is gone and when he returns it is a much harder wall for him to break down. The Church is laid out so it is easy to understand and easy to be faithful to Heavenly Father. I have answers to my questions and know that when I don't understand something, there is always an answer whether from my prayers, the Bishop or the Prophet President Monson. The Book of Mormon is a wonderful extension to the Bible and makes understanding the bible so much easier. It answers all the questions that you have when you study it and adds the pieces that are needed to know where we come from. I believe Joseph Smith restored the True church and President Monson is a current Prophet today, and the life that we have now is truly the plan Heavenly Father had in store for my family.

How I live my faith

My family holds Family Home Evening every Monday and we sit down to meals together and the best part is we pray and read the Scriptures every day (or at least we strive to do it everyday). My calling in the church is Activity Day leader, so I get to work with the girls from age 8 to 11. They are wonderful. Barely baptized and full of testimony and love for the Gospel. It is truly amazing. We have such fun and do many fun activities 2 times a month. Wish it were more! My older son is Boy Scouts and almost an Eagle at age 14. My daughter is in Activity Days with me and it is awesome to see her growth in the Gospel every month. Relief Society has been a true blessing to me as well. When I had my surgery the women brought meals for us and it was over the Thanksgiving Holiday and one of the sisiters brought my kids and I into her home while my husband worked. I can never repay all that my Sisters in the church have done for my family. I love our Home Teachers as well. They come and visit us once a month and help us with any needs and are good friends now. Thank you Heavenly Father for guiding us to the right church and the gifts you provide for us.
