Hi I'm Colleen

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in WY, and now live in Windsor, CO.

About Me

I am passionate gardener, Winter is all about waiting for Spring to arrive! We are a blended family, together we have 3 girls and 3 boys plus 3 grand daughters. Two of our sons served in the Marines and one in the Navy. I am also interested in health, nutrition and decorating.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when my siblings and I were small. As a teenager in a suburb of St Louis, I loved our youth group activities! I see now the concern my church leaders had for me through those challenging years. I moved more times than I can count and the church was a constant in my life, the programs were always the same where ever I went and provided great direction for me. I now can see the positive results of the youth programs my adult children participated in as well. They provided character and faith building experiences that prepared them to care for themselves and their families. Above all, we follow the teachings of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and I am thankful for this in my life.

How I live my faith

In our women's organization I have the opportunity to oversee the Sunday lessons and activities for the women of our congregation. We help in many ways such as volunteering at a community kitchen, taking meals to a family where there is an illness or new baby, performing yard work for elderly or with otherwise limited abilities, to name a few. We recently participated as a congregation in Colorado Cares Day throughout the community.
